Police Investigate Overnight Shooting at PATH Station in Jersey City

Authorities in Hudson County are investigating a shooting that occurred late Saturday night near the Exchange Place PATH train station in Jersey City.

According to reports, multiple 911 calls alerted police to gunfire in the area shortly before midnight. 

Responding officers quickly arrived at the scene and began canvassing the surrounding blocks after receiving information that one person may have been shot.

Despite an extensive search, no victims were located. 

However, detectives recovered several shell casings in the area, confirming that a shooting had taken place.

The motive behind the gunfire remains unclear, and no arrests have been made. 

The incident is currently under investigation by the Jersey City police and other law enforcement agencies.

Additional details were not immediately available. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
