A Manchester Township man died Thursday afternoon after suffering a medical emergency behind the wheel and crashing into another vehicle on Route 539, according to police.

Authorities said 77-year-old Danny R. Coleman was driving southbound shortly after 1:15 p.m. when his pickup truck crossed the center line and collided with another pickup on the driver’s side near milepost 26.5.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 55-year-old man from Levittown, Pennsylvania, was not injured, police said.

His 39-year-old passenger, also from Levittown, sustained minor injuries. Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

The incident prompted a road closure that lasted several hours as emergency responders and investigators worked at the scene.

An investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
