Authorities in Bergen County are investigating a fatal fall that occurred Sunday morning in Edgewater.
Emergency responders were called to the 1000 block of Portside Drive after receiving reports of an injured person.
Upon arrival, Edgewater Police and Fire Department personnel discovered an individual lying on the ground with severe injuries, having fallen several stories from a building.
The victim, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, officials say the incident does not appear to be suspicious.
However, the investigation remains ongoing.
