Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer stated that on May 15, in furtherance of an investigation into illegal firearms possession and narcotics distribution, detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force and Lacey Township Police Department established surveillance on Marshall’s residence in Lacey Township.

Detectives observed Marshall leave his residence on foot carrying a small satchel bag. As detectives attempted to make contact with Marshall, OCPO officials said he fled on foot into a wooded area.

According to Ocean County officials, detectives located Marshall hiding underneath some brush in the wooded area, and he was taken into custody without incident.

Detectives located the bag that Marshall attempted to discard a short distance away; a homemade weapon, otherwise known as a “Ghost” handgun, with an extended ammunition magazine and hollow point ammunition was found in the bag, Ocean County authorities said.

OCPO officials said that Detectives subsequently executed a court-authorized search warrant on Marshall’s residence.

As a result, Detectives seized a quantity of Xanax and approximately $5500 in United States Currency, Ocean County officials stated.
