NJ Man Charged with Explicit Contact, Endangerment

Authorities in Bergen County announced the arrest of 20-year-old Walfred Santizo-Simon of East Rutherford on charges of explicit contact and endangering the welfare of a child.

The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck, and the Rutherford Police Department, under the direction of Chief John Russo, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. 

According to Bergen County officials, on Monday, May 12, the Rutherford Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged explicit contact of a juvenile.

BCPO officials say that an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Rutherford Police Department revealed that Walfred Santizso-Simon had explicit contact with and endangered a juvenile in Rutherford on May 12.

Detectives also determined that Santizo-Simo had explicit contact with and endangered the victim on February 1 in Fairview, Bergen County authorities stated. 

As a result of the investigation, Walfred Santizso-Simon was arrested in Rutherford and charged with two counts of second-degree explicit contact and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, BCPO officials said.

According to Bergen County officials, Santizo-Simon was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack.
