By: Richard L. Smith Authorities in Passaic County are investigating a shooting that left a teenage boy seriously injured late Saturday night in Paterson. According to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, police responded to reports of gunfire shortly before 11 p.m. in the 50s block of Madison Street. Upon arrival, officers found a 16-year-old boy suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was rushed to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, where he remains in serious condition. Police secured the area and conducted a search for additional victims or suspects, but no further injuries were reported and the shooter remains at large. The motive behind the shooting is currently unknown, and the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Paterson Police Department or the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
