Authorities are investigating a Saturday night shooting that left a man seriously injured in a Paterson neighborhood.
According to police, officers were dispatched around 8:20 p.m. to the area of Rosa Parks Boulevard and Godwin Avenue after receiving reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, they found an unidentified male suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment and is expected to recover.
As of Sunday, no arrests have been announced.
The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office is leading the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact law enforcement.
