Responding units arrived quickly and secured the area, where they recovered multiple shell casings. Police conducted a thorough search of the neighborhood and surrounding sections of Springfield Avenue but found no victims at the scene. The suspect fled the area before officers arrived and remains at large. At this time, no arrests have been made, and the motive behind the shooting is under active investigation. Authorities urge anyone with information about the incident to contact the Newark Police Department.
