Police in Paterson are searching for a suspect involved in a shots-fired incident Thursday night that caused property damage but fortunately left no one injured.
According to authorities, gunfire erupted around 10:50 p.m. near 599 14th Avenue.
Several Paterson police officers responded to the scene and secured the area after discovering that a home’s window had been shot out.
The bullets entered the kitchen of the residence, but no one inside was harmed.
Police canvassed the neighborhood for potential gunshot victims and alerted area hospitals to be on the lookout for any walk-in patients.
As of early Friday morning, no injuries had been reported.
The suspect fled the scene and remains at large. The investigation is ongoing.
