Authorities in Ocean County are investigating a deadly crash that claimed the life of a Brick man over the weekend.
According to a statement released by Ocean County officials, the fatal collision occurred around 3:15 p.m. Saturday in Manchester Township, where 24-year-old William C. Swiderski was riding a motorcycle westbound on Route 37.
As he approached the intersection with Colonial Drive, his bike collided with a car traveling southbound.

The impact caused the motorcycle to erupt into flames, and Swiderski was thrown more than 140 feet from the point of collision, police said.
Emergency responders rushed him to Community Medical Center, but he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the car was also transported to the hospital, where they were treated for injuries described as non-life threatening.
As of now, no charges have been filed in connection with the incident.
The crash remains under active investigation by local authorities.
