Hudson County authorities are investigating an overnight shooting that left a man dead in the city.
Multiple rounds of gunfire erupted in the single digit block of McAdoo Avenue shortly before 1 a.m. rushing police and EMS to the scene where they arrived to find a male victim shot to the chest at that location.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Police set up a crime scene in the area where they searched for evidence.
The identity of the man has not been released at this time.
