Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal shooting that happened late last night in the city as Tammy Henderson, 19, of Newark.
According to authorities, at around 11 p.m., Henderson was shot multiple times in the 100 block of South 11th Street while standing in front of a house with several other people.
Henderson lived about a block from where the shooting occurred.
Several suspects fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
Investigators from the Essex County Prosecutor's Office are leading the investigation.
