Authorities in Elizabeth are investigating a shooting that killed a man late last night in the city.
Residents in the 200 block of Parker Road said the sound of multiple rounds of gunfire blasted through the area shortly before 10 p.m. sending several police units to the scene to investigate. Upon police arrival, units found a male victim struck multiple times by gunfire.
EMS rushed a 29-year-old man to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
A request for public information on shootings in the city revealed that the area has had several other incidents of shootings with the latest being February 27th where an apparent robbery left a man shot in the leg. Back in December 2014, Bilal Fullman, 25, of Woodbridge was found fatally shot on Parker Street. Police have arrested three suspects for his murder.
Public information request revealed the following shootings for the month of April and May around the city:
April 6 at 2:19 a.m. gunfire blasted through the door at a bar located in the 400 block of Spring Street injuring one person.
April 7 shortly before 1 a.m. in the 300 block of Park Street a black male wearing a dark hoodie walked up to a group of men and fired at them injuring one person.
April 14 at around 10:30 a.m. gunfire erupted near a vacant restaurant in the 600 block of Westfield Ave. no injuries.
April 20 at around 12:30 a.m. man shot at Magnolia and North Broad
April 20 at around 7 p.m. man shot in the 200 block of Ripley Street
April 22 at around 9:30 p.m man found shot dead in the 300 block of Court Street

May 11 at around 4 a.m. a man was found shot on Franklin and 4th streets.
May 18 at around 10 p.m. man found shot multiple times in the 200 block of Parker Ave.

Elizabeth Police have redacted/have not listed any information on arrest regarding the listed shooting on these public request.
Police have not answered any of our emails or phone calls in regards to gaining information on earlier shootings in the city.
