Gunfire erupted in the the city's South Ward yesterday afternoon sending police to the scene to investigate.
According to the victim, shortly before 4 p.m. while waiting at the light in the 200 block of Lehigh Ave. near Schuyler Ave., a vehicle described as a black Sadan with tints that and occupied by two black males, pulled up to the victim's vehicle then rolled the window down and began to interrogate the victim.
After the male victim answered several questions, the suspects reportedly pulled off but made a u-turn a short distance away returning to the victim's vehicle, where they began unloading two gunshots into the victim's vehicle.
One of the bullets smashed through the rear window narrowly missing a two-year-old female who was occupying the back seat . The second bullet entered the vehicle's front driver's side door.
There were no injuries reported.
