Authorities in Newark are investigating reports of shots fired that happened near a firehouse in the city early this morning.
Several rounds of gunfire rang out in the the area of South Orange Ave. and South 9th Street sending police to the scene shortly before 2 a.m. where they reportedly found evidence of a shooting that occurred near the Engine 11 & Ladder 11 firehouse.
There were no injuries reported in the shooting.
Back in September 2014, a shooting in the same area struck the door of the firehouse.
