An 18-year-old Willingboro woman accused of recruiting a girl to become a prostitute while keeping her in a Secaucus motel made her first court in Jersey City today.
Symphonie D. Stribling appeared via video link from Hudson County jail in Kearny.
Stribling allegedly promoted the prostitution of an unidentified minor, using backpage.com on multiple occasions, including on April 9, of this year while the girl stayed at The Royal Motel located at 650 Rt. 3, according to complaint.
She endangered the welfare of the minor after knowingly, recruiting, luring, enticing, harboring her to become a prostitute while staying at the previously entomb motel and encouraged her to provide sexual services for something of economic value, according to the complaint.
The complaint also state, Stribling was charged with prostitution after she allegedly offered an undercover officer sexual activity in exchange for $400.00.
She was charged with promoting prostitution, endangering the welfare of a child, soliciting sexual activity for something of economic value, possession of suspected marijuana and possession of suspected ecstasy, according to complaint.
She also has numerous warrants out of Bordentown for; careless driving, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, driving without a license, failing to exhibit a document, trespassing and four counts of making unsafe lane changes, court officials said. A $500 bail was set for each of the violations, officials added.
