Police officials in Newark requests the public’s help identifying a male suspect who is wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred on Monday, February 6.
According to Newark Police, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Police responded to the 200 block of 2nd Avenue on a call of shots fired.
Detectives investigating this incident observed the pictured suspect firing a semi-automatic handgun multiple times and fleeing southbound on North 5th Street.
Police said the suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a light complexion, wearing a black North Face coat with a gray hooded sweatshirt underneath, black Adidas track pants with gold stripes, white, gray, and black Jordan 13 sneakers, and a black hat.
Police urge anyone with information about the identity of this suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
