A resident of AristaCare at Norwood Terrace memorably celebrated their 100th birthday, surrounded by friends, family, and community members.

AristaCare officials said the day was filled with a police parade, formal congratulations from the Senate and General Assembly, and a birthday celebration that was nothing short of extraordinary.

According to AristaCare, the parade was led by Lt. Ron Fuscow from the Plainfield Police Department. It featured a long line of police cars that made its way to the nursing home, where the resident was showered with well-wishes and birthday greetings from the staff, fellow residents, and visiting family members.

The Senate and General Assembly also extended their congratulations, presenting the resident with a certificate of recognition for their milestone birthday and their contributions to the community.

The presentation was attended by assemblywoman Linda Carter, who spoke about the resident's life, achievements, and impact on the community.

"It is wonderful to be here today to help celebrate the 100-year birth of Mrs. Norma Tremor, who is truly an amazing individual," said Linda Carter. "She has given so much to our state.

I’m Assemblywoman Linda Carter, and on behalf of Senate President Nick Scutari, and Assemblyman Jim Kennedy, we wish her the best today. Hopefully, we’ll return here next year to wish her a happy 101st birthday."

The birthday celebration was complete with a cake, balloons, and music, creating a festive atmosphere that will long be remembered by all who attended.

“The laughter, the memories, and the milestones of our residents fill our nursing home with love and warmth.” Said Sam Shwebel, LNHA Building Administrator.

“Every smile, every accomplishment, no matter how small, is a precious treasure to us. To see our residents thrive and live life to the fullest is our greatest joy.

They are the reason we do what we do, and we will always hold their happiness close to our hearts.”

AristaCare at Norwood Terrace would like to thank the Plainfield Police Department, the Senate, and the General Assembly for their support and participation in this special event.
