Multiple rounds of gunfire in the 100 block of Claremont Avenue shortly before 3 a.m. sent heavy police presence to the scene where they located a male victim suffering multiple gunshot wounds to the legs.
EMS rushed the man (who was later said to be around the age of 21-years-old) to an area hospital where he was expected to survive his injuries.
Jersey City Police are investigating the shooting.
There have been four shootings with injuries in the city this month.
