Police in Newark’s North Ward are investigating a shooting that injured a male Saturday Morning.
Officers responded to shots fired in the area of 205 Lincoln Avenue, prompting a police investigation.
Units arrived and found a male suffering bullet wounds in his shoulder.
The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect fired two rounds at the victim before fleeing the scene.
Newark has experienced about three shots fired incidents city-wide since Friday, which includes this shooting.
The motive for this attack has not been determined.
