Roselle Park to Hold Blood Drive with American Red Cross

Roselle Park

The Borough of Roselle Park will be partnering with the American Red Cross to hold a blood drive on Monday, December 13, 2021, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Casano Community Center, located at 314 Chestnut Street.

Officials said so far in 2021, the Borough has collected a total of 157 pints of blood and saved 471 lives through blood drives.

For the American Red Cross, blood donations are incredibly important.

The United States has been facing a severe blood shortage this year due to an increased number of trauma cases, organ transplants, and elective surgeries.

Blood

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has only made things more difficult.

“Donating blood not only helps save the lives of those within our community, but lives all across America,” says Roselle Park Mayor Joe Signorello.

“Doctors and patients are in dire need of donations, and I am proud to say that Roselle Park’s blood drives have been very successful in providing them. I look forward to a fantastic turnout at our last blood drive of the year.

Thank you to the American Red Cross and the Casano Community Center for hosting this drive.”
