Police in Newark are looking into the motive behind a shooting that injured two victims in a section of the city this evening.
At approximately 4:30 p.m., police responded to reports of shots fired in the vicinity of 860 South 11 Street.
When officers arrived, they found two males struck by gunfire at that location.
Police canvassed the area and located multiple shell casings.
The victims were rushed to University Hospital for treatment while police searched the area for evidence.
The suspect fled the scene and is at large.
Authorities are continuing to investigate.
