Authorities have identified Thursday night's fatal victim as 21-year-old Irvington man.
The 21-year-old was identified as Lance Henry, Essex County Prosecutor's Office Chief of Detectives Anthony Ambrose said.
According to police, Thursday police responded to the 700 block of South 18th Street just after 11:30 p.m. for a report of a shooting.
Henry had been gunned down. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not released any information possible leads or a motive for the shooting. No arrests have been made at this time.
