Police in Newark are searching for a person responsible for firing shots in a section of the city's South Ward Saturday evening.
A ShotSpotter device alerted police of gunfire near 14 Harding Terrace around 9:47 p.m.
Units arrived and found evidence that a shooting occurred, but no victims were found after a police search of the area.
Newark's Major Crimes Shooting Response Team arrived and the scene and assisted in the investigation.
Police say the suspect is at large.
