The victim of a shooting incident in Newark told police he suffered injuries in the city's South Ward Wednesday evening.
In the incident, the victim walked into University Hospital shortly before 8;50 p.m., suffering a bullet wound.
According to police, medical personnel at the hospital treated the victim for non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the victim reported that a gunman fired shots in his direction on Badger Avenue before fleeing the scene.
The suspect remains at large and no arrests have been reported. Police say the motive for the shooting is under investigation.
