Police in Newark have located the scene of a shooting that sent a man to the hospital Wednesday night.
According to police, officials at University Hospital notified authorities when a male victim entered the emergency room suffering bullet wounds around 8:45 p.m.
When detectives interviewed the victim, police said they were informed that the shooting took place in the 200 block of Fairmount Avenue.
Doctors at the hospital treated the victim then listed him in stable condition.
The motive for the shooting has not been determined at this time.
No arrests have been reported.
