Police are investigating a late night shooting that left two people shot, one fatally in Newark.
The sound of gunfire rang out shortly before 10:30 p.m. in the 200 block of North 9th Street sending a heavy police response to the scene where one person was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene. One other person was found at the scene suffering injury from gunfire. The condition of the second victim is unknown.
Police conducted a crime scene where they searched for evidence and a possible suspect.
The identity of both victims have not been released at this time.
