A shooting incident on the Newark-Irvington's border has police on the scene with a male victim down suffering serious injuries at this time.
Newark Police took the lead in the shooting investigation around 1:15 p.m near 106 South Devine.
According to a preliminary investigation, both incidents began when a gunman shot a male victim on South Devine that struck him in the head at that location.
The unconscious but breathing victim was rushed to University Hospital suffering severe injuries.
The suspect fled the scene and remains at large.
