Two unoccupied vehicles were struck by bullets after gunfire erupted on a street in Newark Monday night.
According to police, a ShotSpotter activated in the 50's block of Kent Street around 8:10 p.m.
When officers checked the scene, they found several shell casings, but no victims were located after officers canvassed the neighborhood.
The suspect fled the scene and is at large.
