Family and Community Says Farewell to 16-Year-Old Boy Murdered in Newark's Central Ward

Hundreds of Family and community members joined to say farewell at a 11 a.m. funeral service at the First Timothy Baptist Church on Chancellor Ave. for a 16-year-old boy gunned down in the city's Central Ward on January 22nd at around 8:30 p.m.

No one has yet to be officially charged in the shooting when multiple rounds of gunfire erupted in the 100 block of Spruce Street struck and injured 16-year-old Kyzeir Baker and one other person. 

A spokesperson for The Essex County Prosecutor's Office said Baker died from his injuries on January 28th. 

The fatal shooting is under investigation.
