Authorities in Passaic County are reporting serious injuries for a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle in a section of Clifton Monday morning.
Officials say at approximately 3:55 a.m., emergency responders rushed to the intersection of Cheever and Ackerman Avenue after they received a report of an injured person.
Upon arrival, police found an unidentified person suffering a severe head injury after a car struck them at that location.
The victim was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital, where doctors began surgery to treat life-threatening injuries.
The incident is under investigation.
