Newark Police officials are reporting a shots-fired incident that occurred in a South Ward neighborhood on Saturday night.
According to police, residents dialed 911 after hearing gunfire in the vicinity of 265 Osborne Terrace just before 11:25 a.m.
Units arrived at the scene and taped the area off after they found shell casings, but a search of the neighborhood indicated no victims according to police.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation and no arrests have been reported.
