Police closed all lanes on a Somerset County highway after they found a pedestrian struck by a car in Bond Brook on Saturday night.
According to a preliminary investigation, before midnight, police were called to the westbound lanes of Route 28 near I-287 for an injured person.
Upon arrival, police found the unidentified person suffering serious injures after a vehicle struck them at that location.
The extent of the victim's injuries could not immediately be confirmed.
Bound Brook Police conducted the investigation while the roadway remained closed for over an hour.
