University Hospital officials reported to police that a male gunshot victim entered the emergency department just before 4:17 p.m.
Police arrived at the hospital and were told by the victim that the gunman fired shots at him in the vicinity of South Orange and Columbia avenues just before he made it to the hospital.
Medical staff treated the victim's two gunshot wounds while police looked into the motive for the shooting
No arrests have been reported.
