Police checked the vicinity of South 12th Street and Clinton Avenue for a crime scene after a gunshot victim entered a Newark hospital overnight night.
According to police, at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, an unidentified male arrived at University Hospital in stable condition with gunshot wounds.
The victim reported that gunmen began to fire several rounds in his direction before fleeing the scene.
The motive for the attack is under investigation and the suspect remains at-large.
