Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose reports that police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the below pictured three males wanted for questioning in connection with a shooting that occurred on Wednesday, August 12.
Shortly before 7:45 p.m., two victims were shot, both sustaining non-life-threatening injuries, after a male shot at another male following a quarrel in the 500 block of Springfield Avenue. Both victims were treated at the scene by EMS.
Detectives investigating this incident are seeking the public’s help in identifying three males wanted for questioning as part of this investigation.
The first is described as having a full beard, wearing an orange shirt with a logo featuring the word “NOW” on the front, blue jeans and a blue and orange hat. He was wearing glasses and has vitiligo (white skin discoloration) on his right hand.
The second male is described as having a full beard and mustache, wearing a black V-neck shirt, gray pants, glasses and has a bald head.
The third is described as having a full beard, wearing a white shirt, orange shorts, and a black Colorado Rockies baseball hat.
Director Ambrose urges anyone with information about the whereabouts of these individuals to call the Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
