Police in Newark are investigating a shooting that occurred in the city this afternoon.
A male victim checked into University Hospital at around 4 p.m.
suffering a gunshot wound. The condition of the victim is not known at this time.
The shooting possibly occurred in the area of Irvine Turner Boulevard and West Kinney.
