Police are on the search for a suspect who fired shots at a location in Newark's West Ward Saturday afternoon.
According to residents, a male pulled up on a motorcycle in the area of Abinger Place and Brookdale Avenue then began to fire shots shortly before 6 p.m.
Newark Police officials said there were no injuries during the incident and was only shots fired.
Police said Major Crimes detectives found shell casings on the sidewalk.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
