A dive team from Lyndhurst recovered the body of an unidentified person floating in the Passaic River in Elmwood Park this afternoon.
According to police, the body was found stuck on a pillar of the Broadway bridge in Elmwood Park just before 12:15 p.m.
At approximately 1:50 p.m., the body was placed on a boat then brought back to land where investigators and medics were waiting to recover the remains .
Police have not identified the person or official cause of death at this time.
