Police in Newark are reporting a shooting that occurred in a section of the city late Saturday night.
According to a preliminary investigation, gunfire erupted in the vicinity of South 11th Street and 15th Avenue at approximately 10:55 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene and found a vehicle struck by bullets at that location.
Police say, one person required medical attention for what appeared to be a bullet graze wound.
A crime scene was established, while detectives checked the area for additional evidence to support a motive into the shooting.
There were no other injuries or arrests reported.
