Essex County Authorities are investigating a police involved shooting in Newark that left one person injured overnight.
The shooting occurred in the 100 block of South 6th Street at around 10 p.m. where the male victim was rushed to University Hospital in serious condition.
Two police officers was also taken to University Hospital for observation but was not struck by gunfire.
