MAYS LANDING- The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating the fatal shooting of an Atlantic City man that occurred on Thursday night, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.
According to officials, at approximately 11:30 p.m., on Thursday 36-year-old Bernard Murphy was shot and killed in the area of Florida and Pacific Avenues in Atlantic City.
The ACPO Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and began an investigation, working cooperatively with the Atlantic City Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit.
According to officials, Murphy was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy has been completed and the cause of death is gunshot wounds and the manner of death is homicide.
No arrests have been made and this is an ongoing going investigation at this time.
