Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announce that at approximately 1:14, a.m. on Sunday members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of 6th Avenue and East 24th Street on a report of shots fired.
Officials say upon arrival police located evidence of a crime scene, but no victim was located.
A short time later members of the Paterson Police Department were advised that a 33-year-old female Paterson resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
