Police in Newark are on the search for a suspect wanted for a shooting that injured a male in the city's North Ward on Sunday night.
According to reports, police were called to the 600 block of North 3rd Street where they found a male victim suffering an apparent gunshot wound to his leg at around 10 p.m.
The victim was transported to University Hospital where there were no immediate reports of life-threatening injuries.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
No arrests have been reported.
