DEVELOPING NEWARK NJ: Double Shooting Reported in Newark's South Ward

There is a large crime scene that's expanding several blocks in Newark's South Ward as police investigate a shots fired incident that connected on two victims this evening.

According to police, both victims are suffering multiple gunshot wounds but are in stable condition after gunfire rang out in the vicinity of 43 Treacy Avenue just before 9:30 p.m.

Police found the first victim near Madison and Treacy then the second person suffering gunshot wounds was located in the 80's block of Baldwin Avenue.

Police have Treacy to Seymour avenues and Madison to Clinton avenues shut down at this time. A crime scene with blood, shell casings and other evidence have been located on Farley Avenue.

Avoid the area for the active and ongoing investigation.

**UPDATE 10:11PM** One of the victims have been confirmed as a juvenile
