UPDATE: 26-Year-Old Killed on Street in Camden

Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson reported a homicide that occurred in the city.

According to a statement released by authorities, The Camden County Police Department was made aware of two ShotSpotter activations near the 1100 block of South 6th Street and near the 600 block of Sycamore Street on Saturday May 26th at approximately 4:03 p.m.

Police say a short time later, they received reports of a male who was taken to Virtua Hospital in Camden suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

When officers arrived at the hospital, they learned that Teron Furman, 26, of Camden, had succumbed to his injuries at approximately 4:31 p.m. according to police.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and there is no further information being released at this time. No arrests have been made at this time.
