BREAKING NEWARK NJ: Three Victims Struck by Gunfire in Newark

EMS units rushed two gunshot victims to University Hospital after a shooting injured the pair in a Newark neighborhood.

It happened on the border of Newark's South and Central wards -Martin Luther King Boulevard and Muhammad Ali- where a suspect arrived in the area and fired shots at the victims at around 5:05 p.m.

One of the victims is an 18-year-old male who has a non-life threatening injury to his hip police said.

According to reports, the other victim has a gunshot wound to the foot.

Police have the area of blocked off from Clinton Avenue up Martin Luther King Boulevard to West Kinney so you are want to avoid the area.

Police are looking for a black Mercedes Benz with tinted windows that sped from the scene and was last seen heading westbound on Avon Avenue.

The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.

**UPDATE 5:45 PM.** A third victim just entered University Hospital suffering a gunshot wound.
