Police officials in Newark have announced an active search for suspects that dropped off a man at a hospital who suffered gunshot injuries then the men sped from the scene in a car.
According to Newark Police, officials at St. Michael's Hospital contacted authorities when they found a male victim suffering bullet wounds in the emergency department at approximately 2 p.m.
Police say the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries when he was shot in the vicinity of Crane and Stone streets.
According to police, three male suspects were inside the black Honda Accord that fled the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
