Police are looking for a male who they say entered the local Stop & Shop in Franklin Lakes and robbed the pharmacist at gunpoint.
According to authorities, shortly before 9 a.m. an armed male jumped over the counter, removed a semi-automatic pistol from his waistband and pointed it at the pharmacist while demanding cough syrup with codeine.
Officials say the suspect then fled the store on foot and was last seen running towards Franklin Avenue.
The suspect is described as a white medium build male in his early 20s with light-colored hair. He was last seen wearing a blue hoodie covered by a gold and blue flannel coat, along with blue jeans and white sneakers.
