Police officials in Newark are reporting that officers are seeking the public’s help in locating a vehicle occupied by several males who are wanted in connection to several shooting incidents that on occurred Tuesday, October 2nd.
According to a statement released by Newark Police officials at approximately 8:23 p.m., Major Crimes Shooting Response Team detectives responded to a shooting incident in the 900 block of Frelinghuysen Avenue where gunmen occupying an Altima fired several shots from the car then sped away from the scene. No injuries were reported in this incident.
Police say moments later, there was another shooting incident in the 100 block of Vassar Avenue that involved occupants of the same vehicle.
Authorities developed information that the vehicle, a silver 2011 Nissan Altima,** Michigan registration DVT-6060**, reported stolen on September 9th, 2018, and its occupants were involved in these incidents.
The suspects remain on the loose.
